Description

The Atmega328p-PU is from Atmel AVR Atmega Series. This MCU is being used in widely accepted Arduino Uno Module. It supports the Arduino IDE, when appropriate bootloader is load into it.

The Atmega328p-PU is a 28 pin MCU. It has 32 KB of Flash Size, and has 2 KB of SRAM, along with 1 KB of dedicated EEPROM. The advantage of having dedicated EEPROM is that, the data is retained even though the power to the MCU is cut off. Other MCUs which does not have dedicated EEPROM require a battery and need to work on RTC, so that the important data can be retained.

This MCU has max clock frequency of 20 Mhz. It has 14 Digital I/Os, out of which 6 I/O can be used for PWM output. And also has 6 Analog Inputs, this pins also function as digital I/Os. It has Pin Change Interrupt on all pins. External Interrupt are only available on 2 pins.
